SHN-WI-01 - NDT Customer Procedures - Rev 02
- If a job is time-sensitive Customers should phone (1-250-248-1915) or email (NDT@rotormaxx.com) prior to sending in parts to determine scheduling.
- Customer needs to fill out FORM SHN-FR-07/09 (highlighted areas in example below), email an electronic version to NDT@rotormaxx.com and include a printed copy with their parts
- Parts should be individually identified in some way
- Also with the parts needs to be:
- A PO which should include any special instructions not covered in FORM SHN-FR-07/09
- Any and all OEM manual information required to perform the NDT (unless doing solely to the ASTM's). Note: ASTM only inspections may not meet some manufactures requirements.Note Rotor Maxx will not reuse these on future work orders so they need to be sent in every time.
- If a part requires special handling during the NDT process (Areas not to NDT, special cleaning procedures, corrosion inhibition etc…) this must be clearly marked on the PO or on the part itself. Rotor Maxx is not liable for any damage caused by failure to identify these.
- Extra service charges will apply for:
- parts arriving requiring cleaning or coating removal (LPI parts especially must be cleaned thoroughly)
- parts that are not individually identified (whether by tags or written on bag the part is in or another similar means)
- Large orders that come individually wrapped in packing that also require this type of packing on the outgoing shipment.
